Hi, I’m Shane Espy — thanks for stopping by!

My love for storytelling started young, with a Canon GL1 in hand at just 10 years old. Back then, I was filming skatepark sessions with my friends, not realizing I was laying the groundwork for what would become my career. A few years later, I picked up my first DSLR, and something clicked: I wasn’t just taking photos, I was capturing memories — little snapshots of joy, connection, and meaning.

Since 2022, I’ve had the privilege of photographing and filming weddings throughout San Luis Obispo and beyond. After spending the past few years working alongside other talented teams, I decided in 2025 to take the leap and build my own wedding photography and videography business.

My style is documentary-driven — I focus on the candid, unscripted moments that make your day uniquely yours. From quiet glances to big laughs, I believe the best images are the ones that reflect how your wedding truly felt. My goal is to preserve those fleeting moments in an authentic, timeless way so you can relive them for years to come.
